9:34a - Another feather in my cap? Maybe?
The solution to a problem at work seems to be best solved in Python, as that's the lingua franca for RedHat's tools.
The annoying part is that it'll mean that I learn the semantics of the language well enough to solve this problem, but not really well enough to be fluent in its design patterns or idioms.
This is also where I'm stuck with most of the other languages I know. I've got the semantics down and can cobble together working programs, but I wouldn't consider myself a developer.
It's the binary equivalent of sitting in the pews of the Sistine Chapel watching Michaelangelo work while I'm painting Dogs Playing Poker onto faux velvet.

1:58p - For the record...
Finding out midway through debugging a Bash script that I need to rewrite it into Perl, while working on learning Python is a good way to make my poor head explode.
